About me
Hi, I’m Joe Rich. I’m getting my MD from USC and my PhD from Caltech under Dr. Lior Pachter, where I am focusing my research on multimodal medical AI and bioinformatics methods development to bridge radiology and genomics. I plan to pursue a specialty in radiology and a career at the intersection of medicine and machine learning research. I write this blog to share insights from my research, explore new ideas, and engage with the broader community interested in this space.
When I’m not busy in the hospital or the lab, I enjoy hiking, cooking, playing tennis, and (slowly) learning the piano. I’m always open to connecting with others who share my interests in medicine, AI, and data science, so feel free to reach out!
